On June 6, 2019, Rachel and Alvie will stand before their nearest and dearest to profess their love for one another and renew their commitment to a marriage that has seen its fair share of struggle. I am deeply honored to be working with Wish Upon A Wedding, to help visually capture and tell the story of this strong and wonderful couple.

Working with the same family for multiple weddings is something I really enjoy. Having been the photographer for Seth’s sister’s wedding, I am excited to have the opportunity to do the same for him and his bride-to-be Melanie. If the energy the day of their wedding is anything like it was for this awesome engagement session, then we’re in for a great time!

As lovers of the city, Lauren and Josh wanted to feature some popular areas for their engagement session. We headed downtown to the Chicago River, the Riverwalk, El Train, Millennium Park, and the Lurie Gardens, capturing the sweet moments.

I truly do enjoy when the couple makes their engagement session personal to them and their relationship. For Laura & Victor, not only did we photograph in their neighborhood of Fulton Market, but we also stopped by the spot of their first date at RM Champagne.

Their wedding was held at one of the more unique venues I’ve photographed…. The Glessner House. It’s an historic gilded era mansion in the South Loop.

Meagan & Nick’s wedding was absolutely stunning from beginning to end. First, you’ll have to check out their engagement photos. Between Molly’s Cupcakes, a picnic at Montrose Harbor, and sunset photos on the lake, they were so much fun to photograph.

Carol & Elliot’s wedding was simply a picture perfect fall event at Independence Grove in Libertyville. If you’ve never been, make a trip on a warm Chicago day. Between the lake, walking paths and boats, it is honestly a gorgeous place to spend some time outside.

I got to travel a few times in 2018, but this trip to Austin, Texas for Eileen & Lee’s wedding tops the list. Full of laughter, style and emotion. After having a few fun days in Austin, we headed to Montesino Ranch, about an hour outside the city.

I had an absolute blast photographing Meghan & Chris’ winter wedding at Fourth Presbyterian and the Mid America Club. Such a classic Chicago wedding, filled with energy, emotion, and endless fun moments.

I feel like Sara & Mike’s engagement session started a trend for my couples….. beginning their sessions at their favorite pub / tavern / brewery. For them, it was an awesome little placed called Beermiscuous in Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood.

I'm always here to help my couples with deciding where to photograph their engagement sessions.  I have plenty of advice and insight about where to go in our beautiful city.  That said, I'm always interested to hear their ideas and see what they bring to the table. 

To date, this has to be one of the most unique engagement sessions I've photographed.  When I'm discussing engagement photo ideas with my clients, I always questions like: "What places have meaning for your relationship?" or "What do you both like to do together?"  Tam & Brendan didn't hesitate and asked "We like to sit on our couch and eat sushi together.
