A Summer Indian Wedding at Lacuna Lofts | Reena & Pasan

Reena and Pasan’s July wedding at Lacuna Lofts in Chicago was such a joy to photograph. From the very first moment of the day, you could feel their excitement and love for one another.

The day began at the Virgin Hotel, where Reena and Pasan got ready separately. In keeping with tradition, Reena’s mother helped her put on her wedding bangles before she went to meet her groom. Their first look along the Chicago Riverwalk was unforgettable — Pasan’s jaw dropped when he saw her, and the two shared private vows filled with laughter and tears. From there, we made our way to the Wabash Bridge for portraits and then up to Lacuna’s rooftop for a few final photos against the incredible Chicago skyline. Framing the couple with their stunning floral arch and the city views was a real treat.

The ceremony took place on the rooftop of Lacuna Lofts, with perfect summer weather and panoramic skyline views. Instead of a traditional mandap, the couple chose a more secular ceremony that was heartfelt, funny, and deeply personal. Guests smiled through happy tears, and the floral arch — an incredible mix of red, white, pink, and orange roses by The Local Petaler — made the perfect backdrop.

The celebration continued with a lively reception, full of heartfelt and hilarious speeches before the dance floor kicked off. The couple’s cousins surprised everyone with a choreographed dance to get the party started, and the energy never slowed down. From hip-hop favorites to a joyful dance between Pasan and his mom, it was a night to remember.
